Monday to Thursday: 8am – 5pm
Fridays: 8am – 4pm

If you are currently in pain, or have a problem that you are worried about please ring us. We will arrange to see you as soon as we can.

Completing planned treatment and keeping up your regular check-ups is the best way to prevent untimely problems in the future.

OUR SERVICES

We offer ALL aspects of Dentistry. We are registered providers for ACC and WINZ.

Restoring broken or decayed teeth

We are an amalgam-free Practice, with the material that best suits your needs and budget to be advised at the time. Composite resin fillings are the best ‘tooth coloured’ fillings for most situations.

Ceramic Crowns and/or Inlays/onlays are recommended for larger restorations, or if you still wish to risk ‘crackling’ and minties.

Missing teeth

Many options exist. A tooth can often be removed and replaced at the same appointment to maintain your smile.

Implants are a fantastic option for permanent replacement.
They can also be ideal to add retention to loose fitting dentures.

Bridges Ceramic or composite can be used as a fixed / non-removable option for missing teeth in the right situation.

Dentures. We adjoin Bay Denture Studio, where Tay will look after you, in consultation with us.

Implants

A dental implant is a titanium ‘screw’ that replaces a missing natural tooth. An implant, or implants, may be a better option than a removable partial denture, or a non removable ceramic bridge.

They can be a wonderful solution to gain better ‘retention’ and therefore resolve the ‘loose full denture’ problem. We are lucky to work alongside Tay in the denture laboratory to coordinate this.

A thorough consultation, often requiring a 3-d scan, is a good start to assess your suitability and thorough estimate of cost and time frame.

We can achieve all this, without leaving Kerikeri !

Surgery

Home Care

Teeth and gum care is generally fairly simple. If you brush well and regularly, and minimise sugar intake, you are most of the way there.

Our role is to help guide you in technique and fill in any gaps. We will analyse any medications, or medical conditions which may have an effect. Difficult areas, such as food traps, can be not only incredibly annoying, but often end up as as a more serious problem. These can usually be rectified very easily.

MARK

A 1979 Otago Graduate, Mark has worked a great deal internationally, either side of having his own Practice in Auckland.

He returned to NZ and the Kerikeri area four years ago, where he has been practising.

With a keen interest in implant placement and cosmetics, Mark offers options and solutions to maintain ‘Teeth for Life’.

After many years of travel and sailing, Mark enjoys people and all the world and life has to offer.

SHIN CHIN

I graduated from University of Otago as a dentist in 2016. I have then spent a few years working for Maori health providers in Northland.

Having moved recently to Opua, I am excited to be part of the team at Mark Fraser Dental.

Shin is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain exceptional oral health focusing on providing dental care in a comfortable and relaxed manner.
